Program Director: National Youth Opera Academy

National Youth Opera Academy is one of the the nation's leading vocal training programs for high school students. Emphasizing a "learn by doing" philosophy, students immerse themselves in a professional environment by participating in either a fully staged opera with a chamber orchestra or a commercial recording submitted for GRAMMY® consideration over the intensive 12-day program.

By taking part in this program, students gain a significant advantage as they are introduced to the intricacies of a professional environment. From working with industry professionals to collaborating with a professional orchestra, students experience firsthand the rewards of performing at a high level.

Our comprehensive curriculum includes staging workshops, career development and marketing seminars, masterclasses with renowned guest artists, audition preparation, daily coachings, and auditions for industry professionals, ensuring that participants are well-prepared for the next stage of their careers as they enter the college circuit.

BEYOND SINGING: We are very proud to host conducting and stage management fellowships, providing students with unique opportunities to explore leadership roles in opera production.

Conducting fellows receive filmed podium time and stage management fellows learn how to prepare and call a production.

The NYOA transforms the lives of young people, empowering them to effectively lead society toward the ideals of artistic excellence, cultural openness, and social diversity.

The program will be held July 31- August 10, 2025.

Website launch and official announcement coming soon.
